Kyran Mitchell
Kyran is a sweet 9 year old little boy, who was diagnosed with a rare form of connective tissue cancer (Rhabdomyosarcoma) in early 2020.
What a year 2020 proved to be for all of us!!
Kyran initially had a small bump on his right hand. Not thinking the bump would be anything significant, his mother Angel took him to see their local pediatrician.
After a first attempt at an MRI, Kyran was taken to a children's hospital 3 hours from home for a sedated MRI. This was where Kyran was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma in his hand.
Throughout 2020 Kyran endured multiple rounds of Chemotherapy along with five weeks of 5 days a week, Radiation therapy.
Towards the end of the year, Kyran was approaching the possibility of maintenance therapy. Sadly, during the last set of scans, the cancer was back.
Again, Kyran set out to beat Cancer. Enduring five more weeks of extremely intense chemotherapy.
Upon the last set of scans in April 2021, the tumors are no longer shrinking. They are growing, in spite of the aggressive chemotherapy. The doctors feel it is best to stop Chemotherapy and focus on Kyran's quality of life.
There is one more option at this point. An Oncologist in Manhattan may be able to help! If accepted, Kyran and his mom will have to travel and stay in Manhattan, NY for treatment.
Kyran is one of four siblings, all under the age of 13. His mother had to stop working last year in order to focus on keeping Kyran safe and healthy during treatments and the crazy year that 2020 was.
To know this little boy is to know love. He is smart, kind, loving, and is always incredibly happy. Throughout months of treatments, he never asked to stop going to the hospital, never asked to quit, and was always along for the ride.
It is my prayer that Kyran will be accepted for treatment by the Oncologist in Manhattan and we are able to help Kyran financially, so that he and his mom can stay as long as needed to Beat this Cancer!
The goal is to raise enough money, that when accepted for treatment in New York, that Kyran and his mom are able to stay as long as needed!

Kyran and his family are currently living in a rural community in Missouri. The trip and stay to Manhattan will be no easy task, but we will do whatever it takes to see him cancer Free!
