Kyrie de Jong Medical Expenses and Rehab

Hi Im Assunta from The Green Medic and im a friend of Kyrie de Jong who is an amazing horsewoman, Equestrian Australia Coach , Off The Track Accredited Trainer, equestrian athlete, business woman and an absolutely awesome human.

This week changed her life ... niggling ongoing neck and shoulder pain after an incident in November while floating her horse has this week turned into life changing emergency spinal surgery.

Unknown to her a bulging disc in her C spine has caused sudden onset of paralysis on Monday. Presenting to emergency she was rushed into surgery. The surgery has included spinal fusion and doctors said they were unsure if she will walk or ride again.

Of course Kyrie is proving them so wrong!! Learning to walk again and she already is showing them shes the boss.... post surgery and now in rehab she has proven them wrong with her fierce incredible strength and determination. Small steps but is walking.

She is self employed with her amazing equestrian training business KDJ Equine.

She needs our help as her surgery, recovery and rehab is very costly and ongoing. She has her fur babies to feed and daily bills to pay.
