Kyron and his family.

Kyron is a beautiful, funny and full of life 9 year old boy who enjoyed football. Devastatingly he was involved in an horrific accident involving a Drug driver which has resulted in life changing injuries. Initially he required 9 hours of brain surgery, face and head reconstruction and has many future surgeries to come.

This beautiful, innocent boy, that was going about his daily life has had to endure pain and suffering no one, let alone a child, should ever have to experience and all because someone made the choice to drive after taking an illegal substance before getting behind the wheel.

All of the healthcare team and treatment Kyron has received has been phenomenal, the surgeons at Birmingham Children’s Hospital even visit him in their own time to check on him. The treatment team told the family that Kyron had received such horrific injuries his chance of survival was minimal.

His mum and nan are with him 24/7 supporting him and encouraging him at every step. This tragic accident has not only impacted Kyron but subsequently impacts his siblings too. A once close knit family prior to the incident, they are now all separated.

Myself and Kyron’s Uncle Liam have started this Go Fund Me page in the hope that we can raise some money to go towards Kyron’s rehabilitation (once he is well enough to go home) as well as any adaptations he will need to his home. Our hope is that, once Kyron has recovered enough, he and his family can concentrate on making some happier memories to help him transition into a life that is very different to the one he had and to overcome the nightmares that currently without having to worry about the costs required to ease his transition.
