Lisa Books cancer fight

Recently, our family was given the devastating news of a rare cancer diagnosis regarding our mother Lisa Books. For everyone who has not been informed. Our strong, beautiful and loving mother was diagnosed 6/16 with a rare colorectal cancer, which required immediate surgery. Lisa will start a chemo and radiation protocol in August at MD Anderson in Houston, TX, whom specializes in this type of cancer.

Several of you have inquired about how to help Lisa in her unfortunate situation. My sister and I have setup this GoFund me as a way family and friends can help support Lisa through her cancer journey. As the medical bills add up these funds will be used to pay for those expenses including future diagnostics, treatments and clinic visits. We want to thank all of you for the endless love and support for our mother. For those that are close to us know that Lisa Books is everything to to our family. Her acts of kindness for others never goes unnoticed and her strength and courage will prevail in this time of difficulty she is about to embark. We hope to have our mother back home in Omaha soon!
