Ky's Emergency Support Fund
Donation protected
My family and I need a little help. As a black trans man in the deep south, jobs are difficult to come by in the best of circumstances but with COVID-19, they are nearly impossible to find. The odd jobs that I am able to find are temporary and cannot cover our basic living needs. I am not afraid of working hard or getting my hands dirty to support my family, but there are simply no opportunities here. On top of work discrimination, I do not have access to medical care. If a doctor accepts my insurance, they refuse to provide care for a TGNCI (trans, gender non-conforming, Intersex) person.
We just moved out of our apartment into a house. The owner wanted to sell the house but we were able to talk him into renting it to us because we are not financially stable enough to buy the house. We are trying to find a way to come up with the money to one day buy the house but it is going to be really hard because I can not find stable work. Below is another way to support me if you do not have fund to send and help me and my family.
Aside from funds, there are other ways to offer support:
HIRE ME:
I am the executive director of Freedom Overground, a nonprofit that supports the LGBTQIA+ incarcerated community. Part of my job with Freedom is to share my experiences as a black, trans, survivor of assault and incarceration. I am available for speaking events, panels, or interviews. You can book me here:

SUPPORT MY WORK:
COVID-19 has forced us to move program funds and board compensation to medical emergency efforts in the Georgia Prison System. Like many non-profits, we went from building community programs to just trying to keep our clients alive. If you are able to offer more help or would like to support my organization, you can do so here:

Thank you to everyone who has followed my case, signed my petitions, and donated to my cause. My hope is that this final request will help me build a sustainable and SAFE living situation for me and my family.
