In-Home Caregiver for the Thompsons

First off, we want to thank you for your support and the generous contributions you made last year to help Olin and Christa. It is amazing what can happen when a community comes together to help one another. Your gifts have allowed Olin to stay in his home, creating an accessible space for him on the main floor and giving him access to all areas of the house.

But as Olin’s ALS continues, the Thompsons are facing new challenges due to the relentless progression of the disease. Last year, we came together to help them and they really need our help again. Olin is no longer able to work and needs more in-home care. This combination has put a lot of stress on Olin as he worries about the financial burden he is putting on his family. Since health insurance covers ZERO in-home caregiving costs, they are in a tough situation and need our help. Although they are working hard to find grants and various other resources to lessen these expenses, the harsh reality is that there is only so much assistance available. 

We are specifically looking to raise $60,000 to pay for a full-time in-home caregiver for the next year.
