Support Needed for Mom’s Cancer Treatment

On January 19, 2025, our mother was admitted to the hospital due to sudden changes in her speech. After thorough evaluation, doctors discovered a brain tumor, and she was promptly transferred to another hospital for further care. On January 22, she underwent a craniotomy to remove the tumor. Unfortunately, pathology results revealed that she has been diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic cancer.

At the time of her diagnosis, she did not have medical insurance. Thankfully, the hospital was able to assist us in securing coverage. However, the costs of ongoing tests, imaging, and treatments are still significant. We are facing out-of-pocket expenses ranging from $150 to $300 for each imaging session, and she will soon begin radiation therapy, which will involve additional copays for each of the five scheduled sessions.

We are reaching out to our community for support during this incredibly difficult time. The emotional and financial challenges are overwhelming, especially as we miss work to care for her and accompany her to appointments and treatments. Any donation, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated and will go directly toward her medical expenses.
