JLM Woodys House of Hope Moneybomb!

Dear Giving Sponsor,
My name is Marta Grove and I am writing you to ask for financial support for a very worthy and exciting cause. I am working with a foundation in Panama that has created the FIRST and ONLY transitional house for young adults.
Our goal and mission is to give Panamanian youth a chance to thrive and flourish, transcending beyond their impoverished upbringing. Our foundation has created the first of its kind transitional home for young girls in Panama! This home is located in Penonomé and will eventually house twenty girls. We currently have six girls living in the home. The girls have come from the Hogar del Niña orphanage in Penonomé or from the mountain villages in Panama. This transitional home ( called Woody’s House of Hope ) gives these girls ( ages 17-25 ) a chance to continue a post secondary education. Along with free housing we offer counselling, food and travel abroad opportunities. We are a 100% volunteer based non-profit and support these girls and ALL their needs while living at the house and attending a College or University.
The president of this foundation, Skye Wikjord has created a friendly fundraising competition that runs from Feb- ruary 10th-March 10th 2015. I have registered for this competition to help the youth in Panama, so they can have the same opportunities I have. Its very exciting for me to be a part of this foundation and see first hand how the lives of these girls are changing for the better!
This competition also gives me chance to win a community service scholarship. This fundraising scholarship has been launched by, this legal non-profit organization in Panama that I volunteer with, The JLM Christian Founda- tion - www.jlmchristianfoundation.org. If I raise the most money in this month I could receive a cash amount of ONE THOUSAND dollars. This sponsorship money has been donated by United Country Real Estate office in Coronado Panama.
It is our hope that this 1st place cash award will motivate all the teams registered. It has motivated me as I hope to win so I can fund a back packing trip through central america! Please cut and paste the Youtube video link into your browser http://youtu.be/SgvZAsn3bQ0. It’s a fun video, filmed on top of a mountain in Panama, which explains more about the fundraising competition in more detail!
As a loyal volunteer to this foundation I would like to share just a little more about the JLM organization. It is the foundations goal to eventually acquire political assistance for further awareness. There is currently a severe lack of support for young Panamanian children in this country. This is something we can all work together to change. We are already making positive strides and providing these young adults with a hand UP and not a hand out. It starts with us and we hope you will want to be involved in this very exciting opportunity!
Sincerely yours,
Marta Grove
