L. A. N. D funding

My name is Cat and I am one of the founders at L. A. N. D (Lincolnshire against needless destruction)

We are a campaign working within the comunity to oppose the current invasion of Large Scale Energy Infrastructure that threatens to destroy over a million acres of farmland in the UK - to produce and transmit energy.

Lincolnshire is disproportionately affected by this infrastructure, yet it has the most fertile soils in the UK and we grow 40% of the UKs fresh produce.

We are challenging the government to find a better way to net zero, one that provides both Energy Security and Food Security and isnt driven by greed.

If the current infrastructure goes ahead the UK will be generating 2.5 times the energy it needs - the excess will be exported for profits of around £45 BILLION to private companies.

We are calling for Solar on rooftops and small scale locally serving solar farms on brown and grey-field sites. Offshore wind, floating solar, tidal generation with an offshore integrated power grid. We are calling for research into reliable renewables that are not dependant on weather patterns.
