fire relief fund for FUNEZ family

My name is Andreina Funez, I am 11 years old, I am in the 6th grade and left without a home. I lived in apartment 310  on 22nd and mission.  My father was at home washing the dishes and watching tv alone while my mother and I shopped for our dinner in the neighborhood. As he walked out of the kitchen to use the bathroom he saw a light coming from a closet. As he opened the closet he saw the flames as our clothes burned in flames. My father quickly ran to knock on the other apartment doors to alert the residents of what was happening. As this happened my mother and I had returned to the building. As we were going up the stairs we see the smoke in the hallways and my father running in the hallway. My mother dropped her purse in attempts to grab our fire extinguishers but none of them worked. I ran down the stairs as fast as I could skipping flights of stairs with other residents trying to escape the fire. 

Nothing can ever erase the memory and pain of loosing everything in one night  but we thank God we are still alive. My family and I were left without anything. Our memories, photo albums, clothes, shoes, even important papers were all lost. All we have is the clothes we were wearing that night. My school uniform and supplies were left behind.
