Jill Speer's family financial fund
Donation protected
June 2014 ,my sister Jill Speer was diagnosed with leukemia. For the past seven months, she has been in and out of the hospital for blood transfusions, platelets and chemo therapy. She has missed numerous holidays because of being hospitalized. Prior to this her husband , Al , lost his job. His unemployment benefits ran out by the end of the summer and Jill's short term disability also has run out. The only bills that are getting paid are utilities and car payments.
Al has his own health issues, he was recently hospitalized because of his heart. Al is also special needs and unable to read or write . Jill is the one who handles anything financially related as well as everything else in the house. My brother Mark also lives there and is also special needs.
The mortgage has not been paid for some time , so it is just a matter of time before they could be homeless.
They have applied for state aid and assistance from social security but, it is taking a long time to be processed.
I am making a plea for help for them, they have had so much hardship for so long. They need a break. Our local church has made donations but they are also financially struggling. We have also received a donation from a local animal organization to take care of her cat.
All donations are greatly appreciated! All we want for Jill is for her to live a stress-free, happy life. We want her to concentrate more on her recovery and less on her financial woes. We just want our Jilly Bean back!
