Hola, mi nombre es Geraldo. A mi mamá, Griselda Paulino, recientemente le diagnosticaron cáncer en etapa 4, el día después de su cumpleaños. Estuvo hospitalizada durante dos semanas mientras los médicos intentaban determinar su diagnóstico y luego fue dada de alta para comenzar la quimioterapia.
Después de traerla a casa no nos hemos apartado de ella, ya que está tomando muchos medicamentos diferentes, ha perdido la mayoría de sus funciones motoras. Hemos estado haciendo todo lo posible para mantener su cuidado. Los medicos nos han dicho que esta lucha será difícil.
Desafortunadamente, esta semana la llevamos de urgencia a la sala de emergencias, donde la llevaron a la Unidad de Cuido Intensivo y la sedaron. En estos momentos, ella esta respirando con un tubo de respiración y no ha recuperado el conocimiento desde entonces.
Hemos estado haciendo todo lo posible para permanecer a su lado. Debido a la gravedad de su diagnóstico y al haber desaparecido sus ingresos como principal proveedor del hogar, tenemos que seguir trabajando a tiempo completo mientras asistimos a la universidad.
Solo les pedimos que se tomen el tiempo de orar para que nuestra mamá salga triunfante de esta lucha y oren para que tengamos la fuerza para superar esto.

Hello, my name is Geraldo. My mom, Griselda Paulino was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, the day after her birthday. She was hospitalized for two weeks as doctors tried to determine her diagnosis, and was later released to begin chemotherapy. After bringing her home, we haven’t left her side, as she is on many different medications, she has lost most of her motor functions. We have been doing everything possible to maintain her care. We are told that this fight will be a difficult one. Unfortunately this week, we rushed her to the emergency room where she was taken to ICU and sedated. She is now on a breathing tube, and has not regained consciousness since then. We have been doing everything we can to stay by her side, due to the severity of her diagnosis, and her income as the main provider for the household being gone, we have to continue working full-time while attending college. We just ask that you take the time to please pray for our mom to come out of this fight triumphant, and pray for us to have the strength to get through this. Any donations big or small, prayers and support are extremely appreciated. They would be going towards any additional expenses for her medical treatment, end-of-life care, and memorial services.
