My family’s business was destroyed last night.
We are located on 39th & 71st, the south side of Chicago. Our windows were completely shattered and all of the things, including our cash register, and all products were stolen.
WE JUST OPENED up right before the pandemic forced us to close and we’ve been shut down for almost 2 months now. On THE FIRST week of us being able to open back up... this happens. I please ask that you help my family with whatever you can to help us restore and rise above.
ALL I WILL DO NOW is please ask those of you on here who are choosing not to peacefully protest but rather loot and riot is to NOT DO IT TO FAMILY OWNED BUSINESSES. We worked really hard to get to where we did and were already struggling as is with the pandemic (COVID19) having us close down.
That is all.
We take pride in being latino, we take pride in being a minority, and we are standing with Black Lives Matter and will always be about the people nonetheless.
