Fire in Altadena Artist Eric Zammitt loses all
Donation protected
On the morning of January 8th, 2025 artist Eric Zammitt of Altadena, CA lost his home, art workshop/studio, and decades of his life's work to the Los Angeles fires.
This tragedy has hit many in deeply devastating ways.
My name is Joelle Karotkin and I have been a friend of Eric’s for many years. Over our experience together I have come to know him as a truly compassionate, kind, creative being and an utterly dedicated artist. Eric's studio was a place to behold with his one-of-a-kind approach to art-making.
Asking for help is difficult for most, however when tragedy hits a community and a loved one who has lost everything, I feel compelled to ask on their behalf. A gift in the realm of resources and monetary support is humbly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, we completely understand—but sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us.
The funds raised here will go directly to helping the family:
• Uncovered temporary housing costs
• Replacement of essential items such as clothing, furniture, etc.
• Cover expenses as he navigates his next steps

I truly thank you all for taking the time to read this and take action. I extend every good wish to you and yours and for those in Southern California to stay safe. ~ Joelle
