Hello Everyone!!

This week my family got some terrible news. My mother was rushed to the emergency hospital because she was extremely close to having a heart attack. The told her that she has to receive treatment for this medical condition (which I will not state to protect her privacy) that she will have to take medication until she gets it under control.  Yall my mother is a cancer survivor, she is the glue of our family, and she does so much for her community. This woman has persevered through domestic violence, immigrating to America then being abandoned, and taking care of 5 children on her own. She is literally the strongest person I know!

Now because they expect people who are undocumented to pay taxes but receive nothing in return it has been a struggle getting her the medical help she needs.  We don't have a saving and we basically live paycheck to paycheck, since COVID it has even been harder to get my mother//family the assistance they need.

The picture above is of my sister and her children. She the main provider of my family back home and literally after two weeks of being pregnant had to immediately go back to work because bills were piling up. I have been able to help out as much as I can with medication and bills here and there.... but it's just not enough. I and my sisters are still in our earlier and mid-20s so all of this pressure has been a lot on all of us. My mother is their main caretaker while my sister is at work so she isn't able to really work even a parttime job. TRUST we are all trying to have upward mobility and constantly trying to figure out how to build generational wealth. But for black people in this country, they make every hurdle as large as Mount Everest.

We are an Afro-Latinx family who is constantly just trying our best to get by but COVID has taken a toll on us just like other thousands of families in America.

I'm making this go fund me because having the possibility of our mother passing away because we couldn't afford her medicine just isn't a choice. We are not going to let our mother die, we just can't, she deserves so much more. Also, there are three kids in the house and the possibility of getting evicted is right at our door

So the 15,000 which is a large number I know. Is so that we can pay the month of rent we owe and a couple of months in advance. The rest will go to purchasing my mother's medication.

Honestly, if I could raise a million dollars I would!! So I'm gonna leave this up for as long as I can and just try to raise as much money as I can for my family.

I know I ask a lot of my community and I have in the past but I really need the help spreading the word. Especially from the people on this page who know people with money. I really need everyone to spread the word as hard as they can. Email everyone you know. I hope my former professors, co-worker, anyone who I have been in the same space with please please please spread the word.

if you wanna donate another way my mothers Venmo is @IP-Rosario or paypal [email redacted]
