MISE À JOUR: 13 janvier 2023 - Cette collecte de fonds a suscité un grand élan de générosité depuis qu'elle a été lancée le 9 janvier. Ceci est source d'espoir pour la famille de Fritznel Richard qui nécessite le plus de soutien possible en ce moment ! En tenant compte du fait que les soins médicaux dont ont besoin la veuve, Guenda FILIUS, et ses enfants devront être défrayés principalement en dollars US et que ces frais seront certainement plus élevés que ce qu'avaient envisagé les organisateurs de cette collecte de fond, l'objectif a été changé de 5000$ à 10 000$ CA. Fritznel Richard était un conjoint, un père de famille et un ami apprécié par son entourage. Originaire d'Haïti, il avait fui ce pays où sa vie était en danger et était devenu demandeur d'asile au Canada suite à un difficile périple à travers les Amériques. Il est mort de froid (hypothermie) après avoir été pris dans une tempête hivernale le 23 décembre 2022. Il était passé par la forêt menant au chemin Roxham pour tenter de rejoindre sa femme et son fils âgé de 19 mois qui avaient déjà quitté le Canada pour les États-Unis. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil un fils de 11 ans qui est toujours en Haïti et nécessite des soins médicaux. Pour soutenir la famille durant ce moment éprouvant et aider la veuve à payer des frais médicaux pour elle-même et ses enfants, nous vous invitons à donner généreusement.

UPDATE: January 13, 2023 - This fundraising campaign has generated an outpouring of generosity. It is a source of hope for Fritznel Richard's family who is in need of much support at this moment. Considering that the medical care needed by the widow, Guenda FILIUS, and her children are mainly in US dollars and will certainly be greater than initially expected by the organizers of this fundraising campaign, the objective has been changed from 5000$ to 10 000$ CA. Fritznel Richard was a husband, a father and a friend appreciated by all around him. Born in Haiti, he had fled the country because his life was in danger. He became an asylum seeker in Canada after a difficult journey across the Americas. He died of cold (hypothermia) after being caught up in a winter storm on December 23rd, 2022. He had walked through the forest leading to Roxham road in an attempt to reconnect with his wife and 19-month old son that had already left Canada to go back to the United States. He also has an 11 year old son in need of medical care who is still in Haiti and is mourning his death. To support the family during this harrowing time and to help the widow pay medical bills for herself and her children, please give generously.
