La Puerta Foundation Historical Preservations

The mission of the La Puerta Foundation is to preserve, refurbish and protect all structures, artifacts, ranching and farming equipment on the historic Cary Ranch located in Anza, CA.

Current Project: Restoration of the Greenhouse

In the early 1940’s this one-room home was relocated from a homestead about 2 miles away using a two-horse team and wheels from a hay wagon. It served as a bunkhouse for ranch hands, a crafts room and had scenes in the movie Tuckers War, directed by Stephen Savage.
