LaborTech Research Network
Help us promote critical studies of labor and technology that takes into account transnationalism, feminism and anti-racism! Our mission is to ground discussions of labor and technology in social justice, and to connect scholars working across global north and south. Our activities center around supporting research in this area and translating it for the public.
We’d be grateful for contributions to our general start-up fund, and help with “turning on the lights” so to speak. Even the smallest amount will help us get our infrastructure set up so we can start applying for proper funding. If you would like to become a sustaining supporter, please contact our Treasurer, Yovanna Pineda, yovannaypineda_at_gmail.com. General queries welcome to Director, Winnie Poster, wrposter_at_gmail.com.
We are currently transitioning from a ten-year online discussion group to a full-fledged nonprofit. We run a biweekly Speakers Series to feature the latest scholarship in the field, and have advocated for Black scholars in Artificial Intelligence research. We recently set up a number of working groups and hope to expand in exciting directions in the near future.
