Exhibition of Works by Melissa Artemis Shemanna and Orryelle Defenestrate-Bascule

Hi, we are Australian artists currently living in Europe (Belgium) and England, seeding the creation of a major exhibition of our artworks this coming September in a London gallery called The Crypt in St Pancras. The Gallery is an old church yard crypt that had been transformed years ago to create the St Pancras Crypt Gallery, an underground cave/ womb like space that is both mysterious and sacred to step into and a perfect space to create an atmospheric interactive world within, to transform and inspire the viewers with a progressive installation rather than just works on white walls.

We need to raise funds to potentiate this opportunity: to pay for the Gallery, and also to promote it well…

Melissa has curated this exhibition which will be a production of her Private Arts Foundation ‘The Honeybee Temple Arts Pollinator’, which focuses on creating community esoteric and mythological arts events, and raises awareness for honeybee orientated initiations.

‘Labyrinth of Alchemised Honey’ -running September 24-29th 2024- will present original oil & tempera paintings, sculptures (clay, wood, bronze, honeycomb), drawings & limited edition prints, within an installation which will also house hanging poetry and projected images from Melissa’s travels, Earth based images that are evocative of mythic glyphs.

We will also be holding a ritual ceremony within the space, to nourish and awaken the collective hive mind’s creative essence, in a rite of passage that includes music and meditation/visualisation in which the participant can embody their own true essence of living myth and dreaming.

Orryelle will also perform -voice, violin, dance & clay art.

Melissa Artemis Shemanna’s paintings are made from oils, tempera, moon blood and copper/gold leaf, embellished with a strong essence of mythopoetic and esoteric storytelling, that seek to explore and inspire the ways in which we walk through the sacred journey of the labyrinth of life. An omnicultural resonance steeped in ancient traditions from her own initiations and bloodlines of Celtic spiral labyrinth, Aboriginal dreaming knowledge, Honeybee medicine, ancient Greek myths, Yogini wisdom and deeply in service to the reviving of the Earth Goddesses true sovereignty.

Orryelle Defenestrate-Bascule is an esoteric artist in many media, including painting, writing, sculpture, sound, film and performance art. 

He is the writer-director of the Metamorphic Ritual Theatre Company who have presented many major original productions based in (and updating/mutating) various ancient mythos.

Creator of the Tela Quadrivium Alchymic book web from Fulgur Press (Conjunctio 2008, Coagula 2010, Solve 2011, Distillatio 2015) and Esezezus (Grayle Press 2023) a book on and of the Magic of Language. He is currently developing an esoteric sculpture garden in the Ardennes forest, Belgium.

Orryelle is interested in the ensoulment of objects through aesthetic obsession; the merging of mental, spiritual and emotional relationships with creativity, in the vanguard of the current resurgence of the esoteric in art with its processes of re-enchantment.

HOW THE FUNDS WILL BE USED:

Raising this money would mean that we can pay the gallery costs by the due date in order to completely secure our place,

(which we have already placed the deposit of £250) and also to put out a media campaign/ flyers/posters/ adverts in London art journals, to advertise the show and generate awareness and attendees for the private viewing, happening on the Friday

September 27th 2024.
