On Friday, January 5, La Cabana Grill in Spicewood, TX suffered devastating losses from an electrical fire that started in the heating and ac duct work and quickly spread through the attic space. If it wasn't for the quick actions of the staff and Pedernales Fire Department, the outcome of the fire could have been much worse since the fire occured during the Friday lunch hour rush. The staff was able to safely evacuate everyone from the restaurant without any patrons or staff being injured.
La Cabana Grill is a family owned and operated business by long time Spicewood residents, Chip and Linda Holt. The funds raised will allow them to continue to pay the employees while starting the rebuilding process. Many of the employess have worked for La Cabana since its opening in January of 2000. Chip and Linda stated "our employees are what make La Cabana such a special place and we credit them with the success of the business. They have truly become part of our family and we need each and every one of them for the future of La Cabana."
We have an amazing community that always jumps at the oppurtunity to help others. Now is the time to pull together and help La Cabana Grill, its employees and the Holt family while on the road to rebuilding. Anything and everything will help to get this community landmark's doors back open once again.
