Lacee Lacesa Relief Fund
My little sister, Lacee, lost her husband, Daniel, to a heart attack on Monday morning. He died in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. They had two little boys, Asher and Ezra. Asher is three, Ezra is two. Daniel’s death has left Lacee reeling. She is grief stricken and terrified of her kids growing up without their dad. The kids are too young to understand what happened but you can tell they’re anxious, sense something is wrong.
Lacee was working from home as a paralegal before this, because of the pandemic. Her job has given her two weeks to recover before she has to return to work full time, while at home with two toddlers, as a sudden single parent. She can’t sent them to school or get childcare help because of the pandemic so we don’t know if she’ll be able to hold onto her job. There are also funeral expenses (Only she and my other sister will be the only ones who can attend. I’ll stay home watching the boys). This week has been a nightmare.
Going forward Lacee’s expenses will be childcare services, school, rent. All the expenses she had before except now they’ve increased, as her household has lost its second income. And she’ll be needing to pay for more help withthe kids than she did before. I was thinking of using this fund to pay her rent for as long as I can.
Her synagogue has set up a fund to help her but I wanted to set up a fund here too since I feel like more people are familiar with GoFundMe. And there’s an immediate record of donations.
Whatever you can give would be so appreciated. Thank you.
