Lachy’s Castration & Scrotal Ablation Surgery

Donation protected
Hey everyone, we have been taking our male dog regularly for what started as bloody urine(basically all blood). At first vet’s didn’t know what was wrong because it could have been a multitude of things, so they started by doing doing blood, urine, & some other tests… which really didn’t tell us anything we didn’t already know. They sent us home with some medication to see if that worked, it didn’t. We went back another time they ran some more tests and sent us home again with other medicine. Which temporarily stopped the bleeding. But it kept coming back, they gave us a larger amount of the same medicine to see if a longer cycle would cure it since it had stopped it for a couple weeks, it worked for some time again, but then the problem persisted. So we had to do x-rays, to see what was wrong inside. The x-rays didn’t show enough for the vet’s to determine for sure what was wrong with him. So last thing we had to do was an ultrasound… the ultrasound results came back and turns out he has a very enlarged prostate which is very serious and dangerous for male dogs. They sent us home with the same medication that had kinda worked before while we got the results back. So he is currently taking that to help a bit, but he desperately needs this surgery to fully take care of the problem. Here is some info on the surgery: ( The most common treatment for an enlarged prostate is castration. This is a popular option as it provides a permanent solution. No more testosterone is produced, so the prostate becomes inactive and starts to shrink. Within about a month of castration symptoms usually start to improve.) There is more.. he cannot have a regular castration because his testicles are also too big, which means they gotta do some extra surgery to fully remove the sack because if that is left how it is it can lead to more problems in the future.
We have already spent thousands of $’s on everything up to this point but thats already done and taking care of. This donation will go solely to the surgery he needs to fix the problem. We will post pictures of the x-ray and ultrasound results. Anything helps. If there is any left over donations after $1200 it will all be donated to a dog shelter or any other pet in need of an emergency surgery. Proof will be posted in our socials. Thank you all.
