To whom it may concern:
Hello… this is Lacie’s Mom… (aka Lindsay Lynch) my daughter was in a near fatal car accident a few days after Christmas. The vehicle itself is a crushed up tin can and we are incredibly blessed she is still alive.
She was a passenger in this vehicle. All we know is the driver had to swerve to try to avoid an accident from another driver who was about to hit them. Unfortunately they hit a curb and the vehicle flipped multiple times. The airbags did not deploy…
Yes this is a small piece of the car… they cut the roof off to get my daughter out of the vehicle. In which they found her small fragile body in the backseat. I saw her at least an hour before this accident.. I remember seeing her laughing and playing with her brother just days before on Christmas. This is a nightmare beyond anyones imagination. Today is New Years Day and currently my daughter looks like this…. She is 19 years old and has her whole life ahead of her. She was in trade school for welding and now her poor body is getting welded back together by doctors. She’s currently in ICU… I call her my sleeping beauty because she is in a non responsive state.
We are looking at last years (2022) and this years (2023) insurance deductibles. She has had surgery on her hip and femur but we had to place a stop on her last two operations due to the pressure in her brain. Her MRI shows us she has DAI (Diffuse Axonal Injury) type of brain damage. She still needs surgery on her Scapula and her wrist. Until her brain is stable the only visitations can be her direct family. Any stimulation to her head can set her healing process behind.
This is a very humbling experience… and a nightmare we wake up too! Any donation and share helps our family. We are very grateful for prayers and positive thoughts as we get through this tragic time. Thank you for all your support and we are truly blessed to have so many people who care!
