Help Fund "The Ghost of Lady Marbella"

Our story

We are a collective of independent filmmakers based in London, established in 2022 after graduating from University College London and being members of the historic UCL Film and TV Society. Our goal is to support each other in telling original and unorthodox stories through the kinetic language of film. One day, we hope to make a career out of this art.

We are currently raising funds for our new short film, "The Ghost of Lady Marbella", a supernatural romance set across England, Spain and beyond.

To develop this project, we need your help. But before, let us tell you about...

Why are we making this film?

In Latin American literature, ghosts exist side by side with the living. In the British and Spanish tradition, spirits are beheld during terrifying apparitions.

We want to make a film that combines all of these countries' understandings of spectral presences, while twisting other cultural stereotypes related to these nationalities.

How are we going to make it?

Starting this May we will be shooting the film across Spain and the UK, capturing each country’s landscape and characters with a different camera. We will be working with analog film (which we have used in previous projects) for the Spanish scenes, and digital technology for the British segments.

Our first film "The Holy Yield" (2023) won Best Short Film at the Molins Terror Film Festival in November 2023. The award included a monetary prize to be spent on equipment rental in Spain, which kicked off our funding process. We are, however, still in need of your support.
