Lady Wolves Soccer with KIPP Oak Cliff Academy
Donation protected
Hi there!
My name is Coach Kang, and I am the Head Coach for the JV Girls Soccer team at KIPP Oak Cliff Academy at Paul Quinn College.
KIPP Oak Cliff Academy has been one of the first high schools of its kind to be located inside a Historically Black College & University. This has allowed our Soccer Program to have access to the beautiful turf field that PQC had set in place.
Even with this privilege of an upgrade, we are still lacking proper funding for our athletic program to succeed and thrive. KIPP Oak Cliff is a Title I school, with the majority of our student body coming from low-income households.
As much as we'd like to take pride in providing our students the same opportunities and resources as their peers that come from affluent neighborhoods in Dallas, our programming continues to struggle to raise the funds needed to be anywhere close to equal-- although we are just as deserving.
We've been extremely fortunate to have a kind and loving group of friends to have donated roughly $650.00 from social media.
Thank you to:
1. Helen Tran

7. Andy To
8. Sarah Thomas
9. Dana (Vy) Le
10. Megan Kantor
11. Sewon Yoo
12. Sandy Kyin
13. Adrian Gomez
Those funds have gone towards:
- purchasing 17 Adidas headbands for game days
- 5 pairs of white/blue Adidas soccer-socks
- full Goalkeeper's kit (padded shorts, long sleeve neon shirt, finger-saving gloves, etc. totaling up to roughly $300.00)
- 20 pairs of winter gloves
- 3 soccer balls at $30.00-35.00 each (need about 7 more!)
- snacks (granola bars, popcorn, muffins, etc.) and Gatorade for game days
- 4 student Athletic fees ($50.00 per student)
- 2 pairs of shin guards
- athletic tape & pre wraps
We would love your help to reach our goal of $3,500 to have the ability to purchase proper equipment needed for full body training, and drills for our 17 girls.
We are still working with only 4 soccer balls, and struggle to run multiple drills to use our time on the field for training efficiently.
On top of lacking proper equipment, as majority of our team are juniors/seniors, they are super excited at the potential of being able to have custom high quality hoodies/jackets. I would love the opportunity to help design and provide my athletes with something that will not only last longer, but will also give them a gift that will bring back memories of our time together, bonding as a team.
We would be forever grateful for whatever you can share with us, and we would also love to send a small thank-you gift back when we're able.
Love,
The Lady Wolves <3
