Lady Mustangs New Season New Goals
Donation protected
August 5, 2016
Dear Murrah Alumni, Fans and Supporters,
UPDATE: As you will see we were able to meet our fundraising goal of $8000.00 and I am happy to report that all student athletes and managers were presented with their championship rings. Take a look...
We continue to push for greatness and the girls have worked all summer raising funds. Over the past two years our girls and Lady Mustang Basketball Club have raised funds to improve the basketball facility, including the gymnasium floor, brand new locker room, new lockers (assembled by the girls and their families), new trophy case (almost full), improved public womens's restroom, television for team film study, new practice uniforms, new tile and paint in the entry and many other improvements to insure safety and pride in our team.
In year three of our long range projects we are seeking to bring in the tools to raise skill level and put us on an even level with other 6A schools.
We are currently working to redo the small weightroom for use by the Lady Mustangs and we are seeking to purchase one mechanical shooting machines for skills work ($3000.00 ea). To do this we will need to raise funding specifically for new weight platforms, weights, bars, benches, flooring, and paint ($5000.00 for equipment, more if we can get donated equipment).
We are seeking help from the community businesses, individuals, alumni and friends. Even with all of the work we have done we still have a long way to go to insure we continue as the top representative of JPS and one of the top girls programs in the entire United States.
Please consider dontating for the purchase of the specific items above. We have already secured a donation of new pink uniforms in honor of Breast Cancer awareness and we are appreciative of all donations big and small.
The girls are working hard raising funds and could really use your support.
Sincerely,
s/Charles Irvin, President
