Læraryna - Understanding Runes (revised edition)
The hope of this campaign is to raise enough funding to support the work of Claire Martinez, the illustrator responsible for the wonderful work you see here! It is my hope - me being Jack of Alarm Eighteen and the Treasury of Magical Enigmas - to fund Claire's creative process so that she can create the illustrations for one of my original books - Læraryna. Those of you who already know about the book Læraryna are most likely already aware of its magical contents; you may even own a copy already! If this is the case, then it is likely that you also already know of my plan to release a new edition of the book, the first from the T.o.M.E, so that it sits more in line with current and future books from the world.
Here you can see examples of the artist, Claire, at work! This illustration featured is not a piece from this project, but the style is very much the same.
In re-illustrating Læraryna, Claire will be creating hundreds of pieces of artwork. Each illustration takes time and hard work, and this time and hard work must, of course, be appropriately funded. This is where you come in!
Above are some of the first illustrations to be completed for this book - as you can see, work is well underway already!
Here's how the project will work:
- Over time, I will be funding these illustrations myself. However, in doing so alone, the project will take a long time - it will only be able to proceed as and when funds are available to support Claire.
- With help from you, we can speed this along and complete the revised book more quickly! Each donation received will go directly to Claire (I am merely hosting the funding campaign). As each illustration is funded through donations, the book will advance closer and closer towards completion.
- In this sense, the amount and speed of donations will directly affect how quickly the revised book can be finished. It's all up to you, so please share the campaign and spread the word as much as possible!
Some points to clarify:
- The funding target is the full amount required for all illustrations in this project to be completed. As mentioned, all donations will go directly to Claire.
- Should we not reach the full funding amount, the project will still go ahead. It will just take much longer to reach the end goal as I fund the project myself.
- By donating a certain amount, you can choose to receive any reward listed as a thank you for your donation! This can be anything up to a copy of the revised book in hardback or paperback, once it is ready. Please see below for more information on rewards!

£10 to £49 - Receive a selection of artwork, featuring a range of Claire's illustrations for this project! (This includes shipping. Plus lower reward)
£50 or more - Receive a paperback or hardback copy of Læraryna - Understanding Runes (revised edition) once the project is completed. (This includes shipping. Plus lower rewards)
I will be in touch to collect all relevant information for rewards once the campaign has made a good amount of progress, but please feel free to let me know which of the rewards you would like in the meantime.
