Lafitte & Barataria Fishermen Fund

Hi, my name is Ronald "Jug" Dufrene. Ive decided to set up this account to aid the local fisherman of our community affected by Hurricane Ida.

Our family owns and operates the f/v Mister Jug a 103ft Shrimping vessel out of Barataria/Lafitte, Louisiana. We were blessed and fortunate that our boat was not directly affected by the storm. However, many in our small very close community suffered a total loss of their livelihood. Through our worldwide media coverage and social platforms an overwhelming response from individuals ready to help have reached out. We decided to direct donations to this Go Fund Me page in order to organize the generous donations.

With your support, we hope that this fund will help fishermen of Barataria and Lafitte get back to providing the precious Louisiana seafood the world has come to love.
