Once we got to talk, John told me he got to grab 2 arm loads of clothes,, scraped his freezer into his ice chest as the wind and fire peeled the roof off of his house!

John became a friend when I bought his old slow 66 mustang called Heartbreaker (blue one in pic 10.90 car). He built the fastest mustang on Maui (green one), I saw it go 9.38 @ 144mph in the quarter mile. John lost everything in the #lahainafire #mauiwildfire. He lost his race car, passenger car, entire house, all tools, race car trailer. #worst-case. He retired Feb 2023 @ 72 years old from Napili Kai resort. He is an OG #lahanasurfer, lived in shark pit Lahaina for 50 years. He has lost everything, no insurance. Maui ohana, #racing ohana, #mustang ohana, #NHRA please help anyway possible.
