Lahaina fire relief for Edwin and Penny Okubo
Donation protected
Hello friends,
I am a close friend of Edwin and Penny Okubo’s daughter, Suzanne, and am asking for help on behalf of this very private and quiet family. The Lahaina fire destroyed the home of Edwin and Penny, where they had lived for nearly 50 years. They were born and raised in Lahaina by parents who also were born and raised in Lahaina. Edwin and Penny were classmates at Lahainaluna High School, where they sent their own children. They raised Suzanne and her brother, Matthew, in Lahaina, in that home. Thankfully, Edwin and Penny were able to evacuate and make it to safety with their dog, Rusty, but they have lost everything. Now begins the heartbreaking process of starting over at age 77.
Please consider helping them on their path to rebuilding their lives - any amount will help.
Funds will be directly transferred to the Okubos through their daughter, Suzanne, to use for shelter, food and dog food, essential items, clothing, and immediate needs necessary for rebuilding their lives.
Thank you,
