Lāhainā town support

Aloha to you all.

I am Melissa, the owner of The Coffee Store in Napili. I've owned my coffee shop in West Maui for 22 years and in that time have created thousands of friendships with the kind and loving people in the community. As many of you know, wildfires swept through Lahaina, HI on the night of Aug. 8 and into the next day. The degree of tragedy is hard to comprehend. There are no words to describe the situation. There are endless amounts of families and friends who need desperate help to get back on their feet. We are establishing this GoFundMe to get supplies and resources to those people.

If you would like to donate, you can do so here and we would very much appreciate it. Anything helps!! All donations collected will go directly to displaced families for immediate supplies and resources that are so desperately needed.

We will also be giving a large portion of it to Maui Humane Society. They are inundated with pets that have been separated from their owners, some are now orphans, and the majority of them are burned and injured and require treatment and medical attention.

For now, on the ground at the shop we are giving out snacks, coffee, tea and no-bake baked goods to firefighters, displaced residents, and various volunteers who have been putting in tons of work.

We love our strong community, there's nothing else like it ❤️

We ask that if you or any of your loved ones have ever had the privilege to spend time in West Maui, and have been touched by Maui and her people, to please consider giving back to it by donations.
