Lahaina Wildfire: Harvey Rosales & 'Ohana
Donation protected
Aloha Kakou,
My name is Harvey Rosales and I was born and raised in Lahaina. On August 8th 2023 my mom (Elsie Rosales), my girlfriend (Nicole Tomita) and I lost everything as the wildfire burnt down our family home.
On the day of the fire my mom got off of work at 4pm. She caught a ride with her coworker to try to come home, but the roads were blocked. She ended up being stuck in Kaanapali for a few days with no cell phone service until she was able to ride a bus to go to Kahului. My mom was left with nothing but the clothes on her back that she wore to work that morning.
Nicole and I were at home on the day of the fire and as we saw the fire getting bigger, we tried to water down our house and yard. The flames and smoke were getting closer, so we ended up evacuating at 7pm. We only packed a couple of clothes and our important documents.
The following day 08/09/2023 we got news that our house burnt down and the dental office that Nicole worked at was also burnt down.
We would greatly appreciate any amount and every share that will help us rebuild and get back on our feet. Mahalo for everyones support and God bless us all!
