Lahaina Wildfire Relief for Tommy Tran

This is my brother, Tommy. Like most Lahaina residents, both his home and his place of work have been burned by wildfires that are still raging in Maui. Tommy is a tattoo artist and all of his equipment destroyed by fire. I'm raising funds to help him get back on his feet, find a new place to live, and buy new tattoo equipment.

A bit about Tommy:

He's a fantastic tattoo artist, a wonderful home cook, and one of the funniest guys you'll ever meet.

He's kind and generous to friends and strangers. He has a lot of empathy for folks down on their luck because he's been there himself. He often helps unhoused people he encounters and during the holidays, he distributes provisions to the unhoused in his area.

Tommy is also unsinkable. This photo of him smiling with his girlfriend was taken just hours after they realized that he didn't have an apartment to return to and that the tattoo parlor was gone. While I was wringing my hands with worry, he texted, "We're gonna go to a beach and cook and sleep in the van. Tomorrow I'm gonna go job hunting. I'll make it through. God is great. I have everything I need to survive."
