LAHS EcoClub Leaders Travel to DC for the Climate

Hi, I’m Charlotte Butcher, the co-President of our local high school EcoClub. We are from Los Alamos, New Mexico. We were invited to attend Citizens’ Climate Lobby yearly conference in Washington DC. The students attending will be Charlotte Butcher, Samuel Carmer, and Arianne Terrones with their chaperone Sara Mason. Our club members have made great changes this school year in our community and in school. As young climate activists, we want to make changes that will protect the beautiful environment we live in. Our democracy is supposed to hear our voices, and we are asking for change. This opportunity to talk to congress members is very important to our club and community! The costs of travel, food, and hotel rooms are high. We are going to hold events to fundraise and have a GoFundMe, any help is appreciated!
