Remembering Lainie Mogensen
Donation protected
Lainie Mogensen, a kind and admired Nordstrom Talent Acquisition team member, tragically passed away on Monday following a motor vehicle accident late Saturday evening. She was described as a bright and amazing person to work with. While studying at Kirkwood Community College and Western Illinois University, Lainie was also a valued Nordstrom employee for the past 6 years.
As a Recruitment Coordinator for the technology team, she built strong relationships with her recruiters, candidates, and team. She was a collaborator and always helped others. Her dream was to be a recruiter, and she was well on her way to fulfilling that goal.
She is best known for her 'calming' voice and ability to handle any situation. Her peers knew that when something landed on Lainie’s desk, she would do everything she could to take care of it.
On behalf of your Nordstrom family, Lainie, you will be missed and always remembered. Rest In Peace. <3
"Lanie was such a lovely person. I have heard the sentiment that she is one of the "nicest people you will ever meet" from many coworkers - myself included! I looked forward to every conversation with Lainie - she was so excited about her work (and moving forward with her career here at Nordstrom), her recent graduation, continuing her education and all that was going on in her life. I will forever be blessed to know her."
- Cynthia Huffman (Recruiter @ Nordstrom)
