Lai's place to call home

Lai needs a new beginning, and we need your help to make it a reality! She is convinced that people who don’t know her won’t give to a go-fund-me for her. This 22-year-old has truly struggled over her lifetime and needs a new beginning. Both of her parents are deceased. Her dad died in 2021 and her mom was murdered in 2022. She’s had a challenging life and had to grow up faster than she should have. Lai recently secured her first entry-level salaried position and now could possibly rent her first solo apartment ONE mile from her new job IF she raises enough funds for the upfront costs. Lai lived in extended stay hotels for several months this year, thanks to donations from her church and a few friends and worked as a child caregiver to make ends meet. Lai will start her new job in two weeks after two job fairs and diligent searching, Lai is very excited! She needs additional funds for the new apartment including advanced rent and security deposit as well as to take care of transportation needs and get settled. I have decided to start this go-fund-me so that she can be better than okay for the first time in a long time. She has an opportunity to refocus her efforts on what’s ahead rather than the traumas of her past, all of which aren’t mentioned here. Please assist this young lady in making her dream of independence and security a reality. Make July 2023 (in celebration of her 23rd birthday) her new beginning.
