From Perfect Storm to Sunrise

The Lake Como Beach Resort and I want to first thank all of our guests, friends and family who have reached out to ask about our wellbeing and how they can help during this devastating time.  We are US expats; a husband and wife team, our daughter and three dogs who have been living in Italy on Lake Como for the last 15 years. 

We gave everything to first open the Lake Como Beach Resort and have been blessed to have kept the small boutique hotel for ten years bringing joyous memories to our guests. Our motto is “our guests become friends”. Unfortunately, with the arrival of the global pandemic, it has brought us and our employees to our knees. 

In 2019 we began the process of acquiring the property along with an investor. We were able to purchase the property this February and the future looked bright for the NEW Lake Como Beach Resort. Within a month, the global pandemic was taking hold and our ship was rocked. 

We had to return 2020 reservation deposits to guests, and with the little money we had left over, we helped employees out with what we could. We were not given any government funding because of the overwhelming bureaucracy, and understandably, the investor has now put a hold on a portion of our funding, specifically the incomes during the remodel. This has become our ‘Perfect Storm’.

We are asking for support for our group during this unprecedented time so we can function until the grand opening next May. Every contribution is a blessing, and donations will be divided among staff and families. *If you would like to come to Lake Como for vacation, we are also able to offer free stays in the newly remodeled hotel next year for ‘exceptional’ donations. 

Considering all that is happening, the investor has still remained committed to the remodel and reopening, The Lake Como Beach Resort staff, cannot sustain until next season without help from our guests, friends and family. But if we can obtain our goal we will once again open the doors to a New Lake Como Beach Resort next May… This is Our Sunrise.
