McDermott family affected by Conjola fire
I am creating this page 3 hours away from my family who are going through the most hardest time of there life and not being able to be with them is extremely difficult.
On New Years Eve my brothers family house was burnt down in Conjola. A ferocious fire tore through the town and pretty much wiped out everything.
The family had no time to grab any belongings and left the house with not knowing what was ahead of them.
My brother (Jase) stayed to try and save the home but the fire was just to big and fast and an extremely grateful he is safe.
The large amount of messages I’ve received in the past 12hours has been very overwhelming and shows how loved they are. I thought the best and easiest thing to do was to create this page.
Jase is the green keeper at the local bowlo and is unsure when he will be returning to work, this now means that they haven’t only lost everything they had worked so hard for there will be an added stress on there financials with Jase not having work to go to.
I really can’t thank everyone enough for the past 12 hours with all the calls, messages, donated clothes, vouchers and money.
We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts and I hope this page will provide a little bit of relief for my family through this tough time
