Lake Country Dog - Small Town Business Needs Help

On September 1st of 2019, Samantha and Johnathon (John) Klink became the proud owners of Lake Country Dog - a Doggy Daycare, boarding and light grooming facility in Oconomowoc, WI. It was Samantha's dream to open a Doggy Daycare for what seems like forever. John pushed and supported his wife to go for it and that is exactly what they did together. This power couple of Oconomowoc pursued the opportunity to be a part of the city they love and live in.

Running this business (although a passion and worth every minute) has not always been easy. Between understanding the current program, and putting Samantha's own mark on it - updating and upgrading the program offerings - adding additional staff to an already amazing team while increasing quality standards for her clients - down to surviving through the struggles of the COVID-19 virus.

In the late hours of September 1st, 2023, (The 4 year anniversary of owning Lake Country Dog) a vehicle drove into the Lake Country Dog building located on Wisconsin Ave. The vehicle was estimated to have been traveling between 60-70 mph fleeing from the police. The vehicle crashed into the East side of the building barreling through some Kennels and Office space through the West side of the building and landing in the green outdoor space. By the grace of God, no dogs were harmed and Samantha was the only person with minor injuries from retrieving one of the wonderful dogs in her care.

Lake Country Dog is a beloved part of this community and will remain temporarily closed until further notice. This pillar in our community has (3) of the hardest working ladies (Samantha, Corrine and Sidney picture included) that currently have their hearts broken because they can not see their clients wagging tails. While many questions we have are unanswered, we do know that there are expenses that we are hoping to band together to support them.

We will provide updates as they come and appreciate anything that you can do. As Lake Country Dog navigates through the logistics, there will be other opportunities other than monetary such as clean up (when cleared) and a fundraiser that we are working on.
