Lake Dawe's Open Heart Surgery

Hello everyone, I made this gofundme for my boyfriend, Lake Dawe. He is 21 years old and he was born with a heart condition called Aortic valve stenosis. This causes the aortic valve to narrow as well as leak, because of this, he has had two Angioplasties to open the valve. He had his first one at age 2-3 and the second at the age 7-8. Over time, this has caused stress on the valve and now it needs to be replaced. We recently met with a Cardiothoracic surgeon and they have determined that he will need open-heart surgery to replace his aortic valve with a mechanical valve. This will be a long and tough process but we are remaining hopeful. Any and all donations are so greatly appreciated, as this will help with the outrageous medical bills he will be faced with following recovery. His surgery is set for Monday, September 16th.
