Lake Geneva - Jim A Thon 2.0

We are back and ready to tackle Lake Geneva once again and more importantly raise some more money.
According to cancer research about 10,470 kids under the age of 15 will be diagnosed with cancer this year in the US.
Last year, thanks to over 120 donors, over $11,000 was raised for the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation which provides support to those children and families battling the disease.
This year, on Friday, July 8th, the goal is to raise $13,574 to make it $25,000 over two years.
Because I am hoping to raise more, I am going to up the challenge. I’ll swim 1.2 miles across Lake Geneva. Then bike 60 miles which will be more than two times around the Lake. And finally I’ll walk around it plus a little extra to make it a full 26.2 mile walk. Give or take a few feet, this will be 60% of total IronMan distances.
I’ve got a phone charger ready so I can update and entertain a little more than last year along the way.
Oh and if you have any interest in joining for any portion of this, let me know. Swim will start at 5am, biking by 7am and walk around 11:00/11:30.
The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded by Chicago Cubs First Baseman Anthony Rizzo. Anthony realized during his own battle with cancer that no matter how difficult fighting cancer was for him, it was even more difficult for his family. The Mission of the Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation is to raise money for cancer research and to provide support to children and their families battling the disease. Please join me in making a difference by supporting a good cause!
