Lake Placid Elementary School Playground

In 2010-2011 monies were raised to replace the old Lake Placid Elementary School playground with the existing "Adirondack" playground. Phase 1 of this playground was complete in 2012 and now it is time for phase 2 and we need your help.
To support the elementary school, CrossFit Lake Placid is going to be holding a 3-week fundraiser ending with a Facebook/YouTube live streamed Burpee Marathon event on Saturday, December 19th. For every dollar raised CrossFit Lake Placid will do one burpee for however long it takes. Donations will be accepted until we reach the goal number. CLICK HERE for more information on the event.
All money raised will go directly to the Lake Placid Elementary School to help finish this playground for the students there. We understand that this is a tough time and a lot of people may not be able to donate, but any support you can provide, whether that is sharing this fundraiser or telling your friends about it, is much appreciated.
The new playground design is:
- COMPLIANT with the American Disabilities Act and allows access to all students as well as provides much needed features for those students with various needs.
- GIVES students that much needed break to "recharge" as studies find is essential for success.
- USABLE year-round to extend its availability
- FOLLOWS the ever changing insurance regulations
- COMBINES structures from the current playground with components requested from the number one user - the students.
