Lakeshia Finch victim St. John Applebees Shooting
Donation protected
Our family has suffered a major tragedy due to a senseless crime. My sister Lakeshia Finch and her best friend Kimberly Penton were victims in the St. John Applebee's shooting Monday night June 22, 2020. They were out simply having dinner enjoying themselves after their boot camp was canceled. They were about to leave when my sister was randomly shot at point blank range. She did not deserve this or her best friend, and now she must live with this tragic event physically and mentally for the rest of her life. Not to mention the sudden loss of her best friend.
Unfortunately, she sustained serious injuries that has forever changed her life. She is now battling a major spinal injury the doctors initially said she would never walk again but we are hopeful. She is currently paralyzed from the mid torso down she has no feelings in her legs and very little in her arms. She is not able to do anything for herself she's totally dependent on the hospital staff and our family.
My family refuses to accept this outcome for her. We called upon our Prayer Warriors asking God to heal and restore her body to provide some quality of life. Our God is great and he is always on time. When he shows up he shows out! The MRI completed by the doctors yesterday determined her spine is in tact and surgery is not required. Due to spinal injury she will be hospitalized for an extended time she has a long road to recovery. We are grateful she is still with us. We are praying her body will be healed and she will recover from this major injury.
Lakeshia is an amazing woman that walks with God and leads with her faith. With the support of our family she will get through this and recover. At this time we thank God for his healing power and for what he has done already. She is a true solider and to see her in this state is heart breaking but she is a woman of great strength she will overcome.
Many people have reached out about donations we greatly appreciate the love and support. We asks that you continue to keep us all in your prayers. This moment in time has altered our family lives but we are strong and will get through this. Thank you all for your support, love, and prayers. Be blessed keep God first!!!
