Lakshmi with passing of her husband.

Dear Sangha and friends,

A few weeks back Lakshmi suddenly lost her husband. The status of a widow in India is very tough as they are looked down upon and considered a bad omen. They are denied many of the 'good things' which married woman have. This reduces her quality of life here and adds further pain.

When her husband passed, she was left with medical bills, funeral costs and outstanding home loans that are very challenging for her.
