Lamar has a new heart and needs our help
Donation protected
Lamar Harris or Tyrone, or Uncle Ty Ty as Trenell called him growing up, had a heart transplant from a donor angel in June.
Before June, Tyrone had been battling Congestive Heart Failure since 2011 when his heart was only doing 10% ejection fracture, which means the blood wasn't flowing. Because the meds weren't helping the heart to pump, he received a pacemaker implanted in his chest. He was and still is paying $189 every two weeks for his insurance. His kidneys were damaged from the heart failure and now even with his new heart, he has to do dialysis three times a week.
He is now blessed with a new heart!! Praise God. He now has to do a weekly biopsy to make sure the new heart does not get rejected by his body. He has to take more than 20 medications a day which come to more than $150 out of pocket.
Lamar has not been approved for disability yet or the state disability insurance, but he is not healthy enough to work! This could be a very long process and in the meantime he needs to be current on his insurance bills and keep up on his anti rejection medicines.
Many of his doctors bills are starting to come in the mail and are going to be out of pocket.
Lamar also needs a recliner chair that raises up to help him get up. That chair is $450 at Walmart.
All of the money raised will go towards insurance, meds, medical bills, a chair, a place to live on his own after the doctors clear him to live alone and any other medical bills that come up.
Tyrone also has an 18 year old son that will be starting college at Loyola this fall. TJ is working part time to save for his own college bills.
Lamar is only 41 years old and this new heart from a loving donor, is a gift from God. Lamar is a Christian who believes in God and praises him daily.
Please help us share our own good health and favor with Lamar! From Lamar himself, "any love offering will help!"
