This March My Pup Palace opened its doors to rescue orphan lambs & Goats, then came the chickens , ducks & geese oh and let’s not forgot the family of donkeys.
I’ve personally covered every single food & vet bill and will continue to do so for as long as I need to.
We’ve opened for anyone to visit the lamb lounge, Goat Gaff, Donkey Den, Cluckinham Palace & Quack house which help raise funds to cover costs to keep them here & if we can raise just that little bit more they can have a permanent home here with us and we can help rescue other animals in the future also for you to come visit to get away from your daily dilemmas to experience our piece of Paradise.
We appreciate everyones not close by to visit but may still like to help ..
*UPDATE*
its Oct maybe the worse time of year to do so but we must move all the animals in Laura’s care to a place that is first and foremost safe & has full access to water.
As some who follow our page are aware the landlords son has been turning off the water supply, we know and believe he’s behind the killing of some of our animals and has on more than one occasion verbally abused Laura.
He is well known for verbally abusing his father the owner of the farm who is in his 80s who has told him to leave the water alone but still refuses to do so, Laura doesn’t wish this man anymore stress so will move to minimise a old man also getting grief from his son.
Laura soon realised the farmers son had not just served time in jail for having an illegal slaughter house but was banned years from keeping animals also. After a few months of been here it was clear he has no care for the animals in his care and the rspca often visit.
His behaviour became strange after lambing season had finished which Laura helped daily with. Laura thought of ways to raise funds to keep the lambs then soon goats and then the rest which she believed he may not have liked as when people came to visit asking for “Laura’s Farm” he’d either give a cold reply or on some occasions shouted at some guests that it was his farm!
While 2 members of Laura’s family was visiting days before the firsts guests were arriving to stay over a half rat eaten dead lamb was put at her back door which her aunty walked out to find. He told Laura and her family his Dad would have put it there when he came instantly to take it away.
These are a few incidents yet there’s more which she has evidence of, that said her priority is to move the animals to a safe piece of paradise so she can continue her work and still have you all come and visit.
The place luckily has paddocks which do require some work tho, with Laura (the master up cycler & D.I.Y’er) able to take materials she already has she has less than a month to strip the place she put her all into this year.
Laura took on an extra job to help pay for her dads funeral but has now decided to quit her new job to facilitate the move and Laura refuses to leave them unattended unless someone she trusts is around as she feels he was behind Gertrude’s death with the evidence she has as to how she died.
Please support the move by kindly donating what you can, animals need transporting safely nearly 2 hours away and there’s a lot of animals.
Laura can safely transport some small animals but fuel for 1 trip there and back is around £60.
