Lambton College Firefit Team
The Lambton College Firefit Team 2017 needs your help to get to the Scott World Firefighter Combat Challenge in Louisville, Kentucky October 23-28th. The team won the Gold Medal in Mixed Relay at the Scott Canadian Firefit Championships in Ottawa. In addition the team collected 10 Gold , 5 Silver and 1 bronze over 3 competitions this past summer. They have earned a spot at the Worlds.
Lambton's Mackenzie Baker, the 8th fastest female firefighter in Canada, has been asked to compete with the Canadian Women's Relay - Fit By Fire. This team will be anchored by the Canadian and World Champion and record holder, Amber Bowman and is an incredible honour for Mackenzie and Lambton College.
The team is comprised of Jared Adams, Connor Hanenburg, Mackenzie Baker, Phil Pumputis, Quinn Howitt and Zach Tremblay all Fire Science Technology student athletes. These young adults have spent countless hours training to be the fastest in individual, tandem and team relay events against full time firefighters. While their college classmates have enjoyed summer fun, these dedicated competitors have logged 20+ hours/week burning up the firefit course in sometimes 40C temperatures.
All money collected will contribute to the costs over and above our Lambton College budget.
Your contribution will make a difference to the growth of these amazing athletes.
