Lametria Goodson rebuilding fund

Donation protected

Every person who steps up to take a job in law enforcement counts on other officers, their families and the general public to jump in to help their family if they make the ultimate sacrifice.  On July 17, 2012 Master Officer Jeremiah Goodson was shot in the line of duty, leaving behind his pregnant wife and 2 year old daughter.  He was an officer with Lumberton Police Department, North Carolina and if that city sounds familiar it is because it is among the hardest hit areas of NC by Hurricane Matthew.  Jeremiah's widow and 4 and 6 year old children were directly affected by rising water in an area that had never flooded before, the neighborhood was underwater for 7 days. A friend borrowed a boat to check on their house, but the news is grim.  The crawl space is still full of water and mold has already taken over the walls and floors of the house.  A contractor said it would take more than $90,000 to fix the house if they didn't find any setbacks.  Today FEMA offered  Jeremiah's widow $3200. Her home owners insurance will not cover one penny of the cost to build.  Jeremiah went out to keep his community safe, can you contribute now to make his family safe? Please consider making a donation to help Lametria Goodson rebuild her home for her and her children.
