Laminectomy Procedure

For those of you who don’t know, my name is Vanessa (or Bugs). I’m a mother of 3 kids, ages 15, 13, & 6. For quite some time now (about 15 years) I’ve been suffering from something called Sciatic nerve pain. The nerves in my lower back and down my legs are constantly being pinched/irritated. Over the years it’s progressed and a year ago I was diagnosed with Spondylosis. Which means the bones that make up my spine have become so weak from my nerves not being able to sustain the pressure that they’ve started to ware away. I was told a year ago I have needed this surgery but considering I am an independent contractor, I have not been able to save enough money nor take the time off of work to actually schedule for it. Its become very hard for me to work on my own (my fiancé now helps me).. or even get out of bed most days. I’ve seen a pain doctor for the last 4 years and have had many procedures where I get cortisone shots in my back, however those are no longer working. Nor has physical therapy the last two times we’ve tried. I am usually not one for handouts so asking this is very hard for me to do. But it’s gotten to the point where my condition has started to affect other areas of my health. It doesn’t have to be much but if you are able to donate anything to go towards the month and a half my fiancé and I have to take off from work, my family and I would GREATLY appreciate it.
