Lamp Family Fund - Soccer Refs/Fans
Donation protected
It is with great sadness that I must share information about a tragic loss of a son for one of our most committed referees and President of CASRA, Julie Lamp-Whittington.
Julie’s son, Stephen Lamp (23), went missing last Tuesday, Jan. 19th, while duck hunting on the Severn River along with his friend Matt Davis. Both of the boys are still missing. The rescue operation has turned into a recovery effort and is currently at a halt until the blizzard passes. Stephen leaves behind 3 very young children (5 years, 3 years, and 4 months) and his wife, Lynnette. A tragic event such as this should make everyone take a moment to reflect on their family.
There is a fund set up to help out such a young and loving family in this tragic time. Please take a moment to donate and help out one of our own soccer referee family members (Julie) and her grandchildren. Please pass this on Facebook or thru emails to help raise funds for them.
Thanks to anyone in community that steps up to help. Any donation will be helpful to this amazing family.
